The Low Carbon Workspaces Grant – could help finance a lighting upgrade

The Carbon Workspaces Grant Scheme has been extended for an extra 3 years. The scheme was specifically set up to help businesses reduce their carbon footprint. A £1,000 – £5,000 grant is available to qualifying SME’s to cover up to a third of the cost of upgrading equipment.

The grant can be used for a lighting upgrade by replace an existing lighting scheme with an LED energy-efficient solution.  The scheme helps business by reducing the initial cost of purchase and installation and provides longer-term business benefits from reducing their business energy bills and lower their carbon emissions.

The scheme is government-funded and offers a maximum of £5,000 available to eligible qualifying SME’s in Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Berkshire who are looking to undertake energy efficiency projects that have a total cost of more than £3,000 (ex VAT).

Could you benefit from a lighting upgrade?

Earlsmann lighting has completed several lighting upgrades where businesses have benefited from Government incentive grant schemes. Lighting upgrades provide vast saving, both energy consumption and running costs, and help build a better environment by reducing carbon emissions.
